OGRA Petrol Prices

According to details, the government of Pakistan has drastically reduced the prices of petroleum products to provide more relief to the people suffering from inflation. The Ministry of Finance has also issued a notification to reduce the prices of petroleum products.

The new prices will take effect on May 1. The Finance Ministry has issued a notification stating that the recent reduction in the prices of petroleum products is being termed as an important step by the federal government, after which the people have been shown the possibility of getting a big relief.

According to the notification issued by the Finance Ministry, the price of light diesel has been reduced by Rs 15, after which its new price will be Rs 47.51 per liter. In addition, the price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs 30 to Rs 47.44 per liter. According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 15 per liter, after which its new price has been reduced to Rs 81.58 per liter, while the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs 27.15 to Rs 80.10 per liter.

OGRA Notification

It may be recalled that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had sent a summary to the Ministry of Petroleum yesterday recommending a reduction in the prices of petroleum products by Rs 44.07 per liter. It was proposed to levy Rs 24.20 paise on high speed diesel, Rs 18.90 paise on petrol, Rs 6 per liter on kerosene and Rs 3 per liter on light diesel. OGRA had proposed a reduction in the price of light diesel by Rs 24.57 per liter, kerosene by Rs 44.7 per liter and high speed diesel by Rs 33.94 per liter.
