Hepatitis Patients

Treatment of hepatitis patients in government hospitals is at its worst due to the focus on the corona virus. Diagnostic tests for hepatitis have not been performed for a month and a half and no medication has been given to registered patients. It has also been revealed that doctors and staff stationed at hepatitis clinics in hospitals are on corona duty.

According to details, doctors and staff posted at teaching and hepatitis clinics in government hospitals have been closed due to corona duty.
Hepatitis labs being set aside for corona tests are not even taking PCR test samples in hospitals.

In these cases, thousands of hepatitis patients are not only deprived of the facility of diagnostic tests but also medicines are not being provided to the already registered patients. In this situation, hepatitis patients are suffering from severe anxiety.

Taking note of the matter, Punjab Hepatitis Control Program has sent a letter to all government hospitals, The letter directed that doctors and staff posted in clinics run under the Hepatitis Control Program should not be relocated, Doing so will affect the treatment of hepatitis.
