PESHAWAR: The provincial government on Sunday decided to nominate ENT Specialist Dr Muhammad Javed for a civil award. Dr Javed worked at the Hayatabad Medical Complex and died of the novel corona virus (Covid-19) on April 25.

This was announced by the Adviser to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister on Information and PR Ajmal Wazir on Sunday while briefing the media at the Civil Secretariat. Wazir extolled Dr Javed’s services to his patients and thus the country, stating that the ear, nose and throat specialist had sacrificed his life within the road of duty.

The adviser further said that the sacrifices made by healthcare workers, including doctors and other medical staff, the state will soon overcome the pandemic. The adviser paid rich tributes to late Dr Javed’s commendable services for corona virus patients. “The slain doctor sacrificed his life many |to avoid wasting”> to save lots of lots of the lives of others,” he added.

Apart from a nomination for a civil award, Wazir said that the provincial government will soon announce a special financial package for Dr Javed’s family. The government will extend all kinds of support to the medical staff who has been risking their lives many to avoid wasting” to save lots of lots of the lives of individuals , Wazir said, urging the overall public to play their part in helping the govt. curb the virus. Dr Javed had spent over hebdomadally on a ventilator after he tested positive for Covid-19.
