Dr Furqan Died non availability of Ventilators

In Karachi, another doctor who saved the lives of Corona victims went dies. Despite the availability of beds and ventilators in public and private hospitals for the treatment of Corona victims, the well-known Dr. Furqan-ul-Haq was not provided timely medical facilities due to which Dr. Furqan lost his life.

Private TV host Shehzad Iqbal, while talking to Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab, said that the Sindh government currently has a facility of 425 ventilators while only 18 patients with corona virus are on ventilators and only 37 are in ICU. Sharing a clip of this program, Shehzad Iqbal tweeted I am surprised that Dr. Farooq died due to lack of ventilator while in my show Murtaza Wahab had said a few days ago that there are more than 400 ventilators for code 19 patients in Sindh and only 18 patients with code 19 ventilator. Are on So why didn’t Dr. Furqan get a Ventilators.

According to Dr Furqan’s wife, she kept trying to get Dr Farooq from one hospital in Indus, Aga Khan and SIUT to another but she could not find a place in any hospital and died at the same time, the ambulance driver said. He also behaved inappropriately, asking an ambulance driver to take him to Indus Hospital, but the ambulance driver refused to take him, saying there was no space in Indus Hospital. The widow of the deceased said that her life could have been saved if she had received timely medical aid.

A spokesman of Sindh Health Department said that there were 48 ICU beds in different hospitals. The late Dr. Furqan was referred to 3 hospitals. The ambulance reached Dr. Furqan’s house on time. Dr. Furqan did not go to the hospital voluntarily. The incident is being further investigated.

Sindh government spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab said in a Twitter message that a three-member committee has been set up to investigate the matter. The committee will submit a report within 24 hours, which will be shared with the public. The committee will be chaired by Special Secretary Health Dr. Fayyaz Ahmed, Principal Dow Medical Dr. Amjad Siraj and Dr. Sikandar Memon are part of the committee.

Out of 64 ventilators available in various hospitals of the city, 19 are empty, Indus Hospital has 15 ventilators on which the victims are undergoing treatment. So far 3 doctors have died of corona virus in Sindh.
